We've been home since Wednesday afternoon. It is SO nice to be at our house & we are just trying to adjust to having a newborn in the house again. The transition for Grayson has gone better than I expected. He really does love Griffin & asks to hold him every day. He'll be in the middle of playing & walk up to the bassinet and say, "hey baby!"
The hardest part for Grayson is the fact that I can't pick him up or hold him yet. That's been the hardest part for me, too. He's too young to really understand why I can't & it just hurts my mama heart when it makes him cry.
Ben goes back to work on Monday. My mom is here all next week & then real life begins. Some moments I think I've got this & other moments? I kind of panic at the thought of being on my own with a very needy newborn & a very busy toddler. I mean, people have been doing this forever, so surely I can eventually get the hang of it. Right?
This week has been a little bit of a blur. I still look at my boys together & can't believe that they are mine. I look at Grayson & it seems like he grew up overnight. He's started talking more this week and he just seems older.
We are definitely in survival mode right now, but, so far being a foursome is pretty fun!

Those boys are just too too cute! I hope you have an easy transition into being a mom of two, especially when the hubs goes back to work!
Absolutely adorable! Glad to hear life as a family of four is going well!
You are going to do great when its just you & the boys! I still can't believe how much the boys resemble each other.
Glad to hear you're doing well! I am so glad Grayson has been so sweet with his new brother! I pray you can all can fall into the swing of things before your mom leaves :) it took me 2 weeks the first time around to get into the new groove, but 3 months to get out of the daze! Haha you're an awesome mom, I know you'll be great!
You will do great!!! Your boys are just adorable!
I have no doubt you'll conquer being a mom of two just as easily as you did with one. Your boys are so lucky momma. Love the pictures-precious family!
Isn't it crazy how the big kid seems gigantic once the baby arrives?! You'll do great on your own. Just savor the time with your mom. Practice getting out of the house since you have her to help if you need it. Very sweet pictures, by the way!
Im sure it does hurt your mamma heart not being able to hold G. & I am sure it's worse that he is too little not to understand! I love all the sweet photos when G holds Griffin, it's beyond precious :) hang in there mamma! You will do great once on your own.
Awww - I am sure this is such an emotional time for you all! Happy and anxious and overjoyed and nervous all at once. But you DO have this! Just enjoy the help while you can - the boys are too cute and y'all will get through beautifully!
Precious boys! I can tell you without a doubt that you will conquer your new role as momma of 2 with no trouble. I promise it only gets better each day!
