I feel like I never have time to really blog. Half the time my brain doesn't work & the other half? Well, I've got a toddler demanding to "MOW! EATA!" or a baby attached to me. Here's what has been going on recently:
- I've talked about our neighbors before. A year and a half ago Leslianna & Andy moved in next door & they have become some of our best friends. They have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, Gray, who is G's best friend. Well, for the past year they have been going through the adoption process & are currently in Africa meeting their son for the first time! I am giddy for them. I feel like I'm about to meet my own nephew...I love this little boy so much already! Please pray for them while they are over there...it's not the safest place & I know they are ready to be back home with Eli! Grayson sure has missed them & asks about Gray every day!
- Speaking of our sweet friends...Grayson asked to pray for Eli & Gray before bed this week. We always pray with him before bed but the fact that he asked?? Melt. My. Heart. Love that sweet boy!
- Griffin is growing like a weed.
He is starting to smile intentionally and it is pretty much the cutest thing ever. See?? I die. I want to freeze time!
- I've been doing Weight Watchers for a few weeks. The first week and a half was awful. I forgot how hungry I am at the beginning of a diet. I've lost 4.5 pounds so far & that's just with tracking my points. Up next? Working out.
- MOPS started up again a few weeks ago and I am SO thankful I can be a part of this group of women. It is such a nice little 2 hour break to fellowship with other mamas, hear a great message, AND realize you aren't crazy because other moms are going through the same things as you. It's good for my soul. The brunch is pretty tasty, too. :)
- We had a monsoon day last week. Not just a rainy day, but a flash flood day. Those used to be days that G and I would go to the library. With a baby? Not so much. We were homebound. I had to get creative with this busy toddler so we built our first fort!
Grayson was obsessed and kept calling it his Mickey House! (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) The dogs, G, Griffin, and I camped out in the orange fort all morning long. It was fun!
We also tried on lots of hats. That was entertaining!
- In other news, my brain has turned to mush. I've almost lost all the dogs 3 times since Griffin was born. Who does that?! I swear they remove a part of my brain with each c-section.
I'll leave you with Griffin. You know, because he is obviously the cutest baby ever.

I am pretty excited to join MOPS myself. And Griffin, well his pictures on IG make my day a little more brighter! I love his face. (Hope that isn't as stranger danger as it seems).
